What Does it Cost?
Classes cost £5 (£2 students/unwaged) and are open to all. If you decide to join the club, then there is an annual fee of £32 (£20 students/ unwaged) payable to Aikido for Daily Life, (our association).
Where?
All classes held in the Barn Dojo at 16 Low Road, Burwell, Cambridge CB25 0EJ.
From Cambridge, follow the Newmarket Road out to the A14 roundabout. Take the B1102 (second exit) to Burwell for 6 miles. Turn down Parsonage Lane - left just round the bend from Lloyds the Chemist - and then right into Low Road at the end of Parsonage Lane. The dojo is opposite Casburn Lane.
From Newmarket, take the B1103 to Burwell for just over 4 miles. Go straight on at the crossroads into Parsonage Lane and then follow the directions above.
The dojo entrance is at the the end of the drive down the steps to the barn entrance, attached to a half thatched half tiled house.
You can park on the drive or on the road outside.
What Do You Need?
In aikido, the normal practice clothing is known as a 'gi'. This is the same as worn by judo students. The club can supply these to you at wholesale prices, if you decide to join. It's fine to wear loose clothes, which you don't mind being pulled around a bit, when you first come though.
Who?
The class is aimed at adults, but we are happy for teenagers to practise and for younger children to train alongside their parents.
